Process IS Effectiveness

Process

A Proven Process that Works

We create a detailed pre-construction plan—covering scope, budget, and timeline—working with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure everything is ready before construction begins.

Process

Construct a Building

With the plan in place, our skilled crews bring it to life. We use quality materials, proven techniques, and strict safety standards to keep your project on track and built to last.

Process

Provide a Solution

We finish strong with thorough inspections, final touches, and a complete walkthrough. You get a finished project that meets our highest standards — and yours.

Here are some frequently asked questions

Engineering Expertise — Your Questions Answered

How long does a structural assessment take?

The Resultant structural assessment methodology is founded on an objective evaluation of the remaining structural capacity relative to the original
design intent, relying on the adequacy of the original design unless there is clear evidence to suggest otherwise.

The assessment is initially informed by a detailed visual inspection. Where the findings indicate that further investigation is warranted, Resultant will
clearly identify and recommend appropriate supplementary analyses within the feedback report. Such analyses can be undertaken by Resultant at the
client’s request.

Assessment timeframes vary depending on asset scale, complexity, and condition. However, in most cases our engineering teams are able to complete
site inspections, analytical modelling, and reporting without any requirement for operational downtime.

What services do you offer for businesses?

High-end structural design in heavy industry and mining, implying planning, analysis, and delivery of structural systems for assets that are critical to
safety, operability, and capital value, and that operate under extreme loading, environmental, and operational conditions. Characterised by the
following attributes:

* Non-standard loading regimes: including dynamic, cyclic, impact, thermal, fatigue, blast, and seismic actions, often acting concurrently and
governed by operational rather than prescriptive code requirements.
* High consequence of failure: where structural underperformance can result in significant safety risk, extended production loss, environmental
harm, or material financial and reputational exposure.
* Complex interfaces: involving large rotating equipment, process vessels, conveyors, stockpiles, foundations interacting with variable ground
conditions, and integration with mechanical, electrical, and process systems.
* Advanced analytical methods: employing refined finite-element modelling, dynamic and time-history analysis, soil–structure interaction, and
performance-based assessment beyond standard code checks.
* Constructability and lifecycle focus: addressing staged construction, brownfield constraints, maintainability, inspection access, and long-term
degradation mechanisms such as fatigue, corrosion, and wear.
* Defensible engineering judgement: grounded in international best practice, calibrated against empirical data where available, and clearly
documented to support regulatory approval, insurer review, and asset-owner risk management.
* In this context, high-end structural design extends beyond compliance-driven engineering to provide robust, transparent, and risk-informed
solutions that enable safe operation, protect asset value, and support uninterrupted production over the full lifecycle of industrial and mining
facilities.

Alignment with the end-user risk and assurance needs:
* Asset integrity and life extension
* Fitness-for-service and assurance
* Modifications, brownfield changes, and debottlenecking
* Decommissioning and reinstatement
* Independent technical authority / verification

Asset integrity management:
* Structural condition assessments and degradation modelling
* Fatigue, corrosion, fire, blast, and accidental loading assessments
* Remaining life and life-extension studies
* Change-of-service or change-of-duty assessments
* Independent technical assurance and peer review

Supporting frequent, urgent, and high-risk Management of Change (MOC) processes:
* Structural impact assessments for equipment changes
* Verification of load paths and reserve capacity
* Temporary works and construction-stage risk reviews
* Interface engineering between structural, mechanical, and process disciplines

Independent assurance, not just engineering delivery:
* Valuable independent, defensible opinions that stand up to regulator and insurer scrutiny.
* Independent verification of designs or assessments
* Second-opinion reviews for life extension or major modifications
* Regulator-facing technical justifications
* Support to internal Technical Authorities

Do you provide warranties or certifications for your engineering work?

We deliver certified engineering reports, compliance documentation, and verifiable calculations aligned with applicable standards and regulatoryframeworks. Our engineers are registered with recognized international governance bodies, including the Washington Accord. The Washington Accord, established under the International Engineering Alliance (IEA), is an international agreement that promotes the global mobilityof engineers through mutual recognition of accredited undergraduate engineering degrees. It affirms that programs accredited by any signatory bodymeet comparable quality standards, including the defined Graduate Attributes. Consequently, graduates of accredited programs—such as BEng(Hons)with a Master’s or MEng— from one signatory country (for example, the UK, US, Canada, or Australia) have their academic qualifications recognized byother member countries, facilitating eligibility for professional engineering practice.

Can small businesses benefit from your services?

Yes. We support projects of all scales, including remote mining operations and specialised industrial facilities requiring independent engineering assurance.

What kind of maintenance is required for structural assets?

The maintenance requirements of a structure are directly influenced by its current level of deterioration and the severity of its operating environment. At Resultant, we support clients in managing structural risk by developing a quantified understanding of both consequence—based on structural function and potential failure mechanisms—and the likelihood of occurrence.Most assets benefit from periodic condition assessments, material testing, load evaluations, and alignment verifications. We design bespoke maintenance programs that optimise asset longevity and mitigate the risk of critical failures.
